Sheene Mill Wedding Photography: On Saturday I photographed Jade and Tom’s wedding at Sheene Mill (https://sheenemill.com/) near Royston in Cambridgeshire. This was my first time at Sheene Mill, and I have to say I was very impressed with the venue. It is simply beautiful! It’s a sixteenth Century Mill packed full of character and charm.
I arrived at Sheene Mill on the morning of the wedding, the forecast was warm, cloudy with possible showers. From a photography point of view cloud softens the light and enables the use of all angles when composing the pictures. Here is a sneak preview of Jade and Tom’s day with a selection of photographs from their collection which tell the story of their wedding day. The coverage was from the bridal party getting ready, the ceremony, drinks reception through to the meal.
Although there was a very brief shower just before the ceremony, it was still able to take place outside, and it remained dry for the rest of the afternoon. They do say rain on your wedding day is considered good luck!
After the ceremony we had the family group photographs whilst drinks and canapés were served.
After lots of candid photographs I took the couple for their wedding portraits. Sheene Mill has a beautiful garden and the river Mel makes an amazing backdrop too.
There is a great location for the big group shot too!
I had a great day with Jade and Tom, it was a joy to photograph at Sheene Mill!
