High Beach Pre-Wedding Shoot – April 2015: This morning I met up with Laura and Will for a pre-wedding shoot at High Beach, Epping Forest in Essex. It had been raining, but was just starting to clear when we arrived. A pre-wedding shoot or engagement shoot can help couples get a feel for my approach and also to get used to having a camera pointed at them. It is also a good opportunity to go over all of the timings for the wedding day. Although I do take a some formal shots on the wedding day I tend not to spend too much time posing the couple into rigid positions. I prefer people to feel comfortable in front of the camera and cuddle/hold each other as they would naturally.

Blake Hall Wedding Photography 17-04-15: Yesterday I photographed Vicky and Stu’s wedding which took place at Blake Hall (www.blakehall.co.uk) in Chipping Ongar, Essex where I am a recommended photographer.

I arrived a couple of hours before the ceremony where the bridal party were getting ready in the Old Coach House.

The flowers were lovely and very unique, especially the button holes.

I met up with the groom and grooms-men before the ceremony for a few photographs.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony!

After lots of candid guest shots I then took the couple around the gardens at Blake Hall for their romantic shoot. The spring flowers were still blooming and also the blossom was on some of the trees.

After a few family group photographs I then took the big aerial group photograph with all the guests. They then headed inside for the wedding meal.

After the meal it was time for the speeches, I also captured lots of guest reactions too.

The evening guests arrived and then the couple cut their wedding cake.

There was a live band playing, it was The Kicks (www.kicksband.co.uk) who I’ve seen a few times before at weddings. They do sound great and the guests were really enjoying their set.

It was time for the first dance.

I had a lovely time capturing Vicky and Stu’s wedding day and took one last shot for them.

Wedding Photography at Fynn Valley Golf Club

Wedding Photography at Fynn Valley Golf Club: On Saturday I photographed this wedding for Rebecca and Mark which took place at Fynn Valley Golf Club (www.fynn-valley.co.uk) near Ipswich in Suffolk.

I arrived at the brides home in the village of Melton, Suffolk for the getting ready shots on a wet and windy morning in April.

Within an hour of my arrival the rain stopped and the clouds cleared.

I then went to the local church in Melton (www.standrewsmelton.org.uk) where the groom and his best man had arrived.

The bride arrived and we went in for the ceremony.

After a few photographs outside the church we headed to Fynn Valley Golf Club. I took the couple for their romantic photographs straight away as the guests were still making the journey from the church.

We then had some group photographs and candid guest shots.

It was time for the wedding breakfast, followed by the speeches and cutting of the cake.

The evening light made for some dramatic photographs.

I had a great time capturing Rebecca and Mark’s special day.
