The Punch Bowl Wedding Photography: On Sunday I photographed Laura and Will’s wedding which took place at Hatfield Broadoak Church and The Punch Bowl (www.thepunchbowl.co.uk) in High Easter, in Essex.
I arrived at the family home on the morning of the wedding where the bride was getting ready. I was working alongside my good friend and videographer James Garrett from HNE Media wedding films and video production (www.hnemedia.co.uk). The forecast was for rain and showers!
The flowers were done by Elegant Stems floral design (www.elegantstems.co.uk) from Bishops Stortford.
We then headed to the St Mary the Virgin church in Hatfield Broadoak.
I met up with the groom and his best man for a couple of photographs.
It wasn’t long before the bridesmaid arrived followed by the bride and her brother in this fabulous 1903 Renault.
After the ceremony I captured some natural moments a couple of group photographs and then everyone threw their confetti.
We all headed to The Punch Bowl which is a traditional English restaurant located in a listed Tudor Building in the picturesque village of High Easter.
Event Pianist Matt Carter (www.eventpianist.co.uk) was entertaining the guests as they entered the marquee and during the wedding breakfast.
Oliver Mangham – “Magical Oli, Close Up Magician” (www.olivermangham.co.uk) was entertaining the guests during the reception.
David and the team at The Punch Bowl were excellent and ensured everything ran smoothly.
After the speeches we popped out for a couple more photographs as the daylight went.
After the cake cutting it was time for the first dance and the band of the night was The Heaters Party Band (www.theheaterspartyband.com) who sounded great and their venue lighting was amazing.
I had a great day with Laura and Will, there was one last photo, a night shot at the front of the venue. I was so glad the weather forecast was wrong, it only started to rain after the first dance.
