May 2014 – Yesterday I photographed this wedding for Sophie and Paul at the lovely Taplow House Hotel (www.taplowhouse.com) in Buckinghamshire.
After a week of very mixed weather the forecast was for an overcast day with showers, possibly brightening up towards the evening. I arrived at the hotel and caught up with the bride getting ready.
I guess the weather reports were wrong again!
As it had been raining earlier in the day I kept the guests on the path to save the ladies heels from sinking!
The bride and groom however were keen to utilise the beautiful grounds for their wedding photographs so we went off-road.
After the couples wedding portrait shoot I took some more natural shots as well as some group photographs.
It was then time for the meal followed by the speeches and cutting of the wedding cake.
The couple had a great evening of entertainment lined up with a live band and also a DJ. The band sounded great, (www.kicksband.co.uk).
As we missed out on some evening sun shots I wanted to do something special for the couple, so with the help of Reese one of the best men who kindly held my light stick, I got some lovely night-lit shots instead.
I have a great time photographing Sophie and Paul’s wedding and it was also lovely to see one of my previous couples as guests.
