Reid Rooms Wedding Photography May: On Tuesday I photographed this wedding for Sian and Gary at The Reid Rooms (https://www.thereidrooms.co.uk/) in Margaret Roding, Essex.
My aim was to capture the real emotion, the more natural side of the wedding and tell their story in photographs. I arrived at the Reid Rooms on the morning of the wedding and the rain was coming down heavy, although I had a new hope it would get better later in the day. “A long time ago in a farmhouse far, far away” the bride and bridal party were getting ready.
The groom and his best men arrived. One of them knew what to do, you could say he was no “tie fighter”…
We made our way to the ceremony room. Due to the thunderstorms and adverse weather conditions there was a power cut.
The “power strikes back”, just as the couple were about to take their vows… the power came back on, it was like a “magical force” was watching over them both.
They were both greeted by an unusual guard of honour.
The “dark side” had cleared and rain stopped, so we all headed outside for the group photographs. It was a warm and humid day even if it was a little overcast.
The stormtroopers caught up with us.
“These aren’t the bridesmaids you’re looking for…”
We went for the wedding portraits utilising the lovely locations at the Reid Rooms.
Piano DJ (https://www.pianodj.co.uk/) had been playing the reception and during the meal, sounded great, especially the occasional Star Wars themed music!
Scarlett Heart Weddings (http://www.scarlettheartweddings.com/) had done the cake, table/chair dressings as well as the photo booth on the evening. The cake had a big reveal on the reverse, very impressive.
The DJ for the evening was Ultimate Entertainment (http://www.ultimateentertainment.org.uk/).
I had an awesome day with Sian and Gary, and it was great photographing at the Reid Rooms. May the force be with you!
